10/03/23 Pantofola D'oro Soccer Shoes
If anybody is in the market for a pair of soccer shoes, here's something.
The United Way on Rebecca Street in Hamilton (at the back of the police station on William Street - downtown) are having a one-day sale on Pantofola D'oro soccer shoes - all $40. Sizes are 7-10 (40-44) - they have plenty in these sizes but none bigger i.e. if you're an 11, they are not available.
This is a great deal, as these leather boots are among the best available today. United Way are open from 9 until 4 p.m. on Saturday March 27. After that date, all remaining stock is going to a youth soccer group.
Cheers,
Gord Miller

09/11/30 - Last Call for BROCK PARK
Burlington City Council is sponsoring a public meeting about the future of Brock Park on Tuesday, Dec. 1/09 at 7:00PM at Tuck School, 3365 Spruce Ave. The Park has been declared surplus by the School Board & it is possible for Burlington to purchase the land. Unless the Park is bought by Burlington, it will be sold to developers for use as residences & the Park will be gone.
It is important for as many people as possible to attend this meeting to indicate that the people of Burlington do not want to lose Brock Park. A large turnout will encourage City Council to buy the Park & preserve it.
